I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Elf Queen



It's time for another challenge this week at Through the Purple Haze. You don't want to miss out on our sponsor: Kenny K. 

For my project, I am using the Elf Queen. I think she is absolutely gorgeous and definitely Wicked! (I was lucky that I had a stamp set with that sentiment on it!) I based everything on using GREEN: from her dress, to the steampunk gear, to the gems and the paper.  



To color the Elf Queen, I used the following Copic colors: 
Hair: N0, N2, N6, N8
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E04, R22
Dress: YG67, YG25
Red: R35, R37

 For embellishments, I used a variety of Steampunk Gear die cuts in different colors (and one of them is metal), a butterfly brad, three green Skittles, and the sentiment from CardzTV (the Spooky Sayings set). The sentiment along the bottom is actually a chipboard sticker.
