I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Love Notes
The best part of making cards and other projects, and that is, you can customize and find inspiration for a special person in your life. For me, that is my husband, and I love to sneak cards in his briefcase or in his desk or in his closet to find. This card is sitting right now on his office desk waiting for him to come home.
I started with the overlays which I downloaded for free from Birds Cards. They have incredible files and examples of projects. I chose blue and black for the overlays.
Next, I popped the chipboard circle with sentiment into the center. Finally, I tied it with a bow!
Clean and Simple in 10 minutes.

Hi Faith what a super card for your husband !Fab crisp masculine colours
ReplyDeleteOur clean and simple challenge has 'makes me happy' for this week's theme, not 'thinking of you', but your card fits this too :)
However, we do like to see plenty of white space too for our submissions and there is a lot going on with this gorgeous overlay from Bird as background.
Thank you for joining us at Less is More
