I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Apple Box

I'm so thrilled to announce that I am officially part of the Cardz TV design Team.

The current challenge is to create a 3D project for graduation. Any paper craft project is welcome.

For my project, I created this apple box for my nephew's Kindergarten Graduation. I plan to fill the box with candy. I started with this box cut from SVGcuts.com. They have the most amazing cut files. I used the DP from DCWV, the Celebration Stack, as my base because it is thick enough to carry the weight of the embellishments, and it has all the primary colors. Next, I added the red apple layers, the green leaf, and the little worm. I punched the circle tag and added a gold star brad and a pencil brad around the CardzTV stamp from the set Happy Days. The graduation hat is adhered with a gold brad.

Challenges Entered:

Die Cuttin Divas: For the Boys
Scrap Creations: Celebrations
Crafting for all Seasons: Boys
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge: School
