I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Stinker

I'm addicted to SVG cutting files, especially Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbon because they are so easy to use. I love that they upload in one file all bundled. That means all I have to do is size and cut. I'm thrilled once again to be a guest designer for Pretty Papers Pretty Ribbons.

I immediately fell in love with the cutting file, Rainy Day Critters, especially the skunk, and I knew that in my stash I had a stamp related to a skunk and paper to match the rainy weather of the April scene. I loved sizing the puddle to be big enough for the skunk to really stand in it. The rain clouds on the patterned paper are very different shades of gray, and to lighten the mood, I added a fun yellow butterfly to the corner. The sentiment is from CardzTV the Critter Captions set.
