I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Doctor Who

I am an über fan of the television show, Doctor Who.
I search high and low for all things related to the show.
Those of us who are crafty have a knack for finding what we need.

I found this stamp* of The Doctor from Seasons 5- 7*, and colored him as closely to his actor counterpart as possible. (This stamp is one of my most prized possessions because it was a rare find.) He is mounted on a Spellbinders die cut. The blue vinyl cut out in the background is called a TARDIS, and it is The Doctor's mode of transportation through all of time and space. The Doctor is known for wearing a bow-tie and loves a good fez (the fez is from an SVG file at Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons).

*I love both rubber stamps (particularly clear acrylic) and digital stamps. This particular stamp is a rubber stamp. For coloring people, I prefer digital stamps. To color flowers and such, I prefer rubber stamps.

*We are now in Season 9, and this stamp is about three years (or more) old.

Bow ties are cool!
