I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Rose Thorn Betty
Project 9 of my Simply Betty Stamps Challenge: Color every image in the Simply Betty Collection. That's over 500 images not including the new releases this year. Want to know the details? Click HERE. Join my blog and cheer me on while I work my way through the Simply Betty Catalog.
For this project, I was inspired by the funky hair challenge at Simply Betty Stamps. I chose the gorgeous image Rose Thorn Betty. My inspiration for this project is very simple: she looks like me! I have blue extensions throughout my hair, and my husband sends me blue roses on special occasions. Why blue? Funny little story... I am a HUGE fan of the TV show Doctor Who. This color blue is an important color to the show. Yup, I'm that big of a fan!!
To color this Betty, I used my Copics:
Hair Brown:E23, E25, E29
Hair Blue (and Roses):B24, B28, B29
Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, E04, R22
Dress: R81, R82, R83
I cut her out of a Spellbinders die cut and inked the edges in blue.
The sentiment stamp is from CardzTV, the Just Saying set.
Challenges Entered:
Cutting and Stamping Challenge: AG
Crafting From the Heart: AG
Crafts Galore: Use a stamp
