I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

January Calendar

It's time for another inspiration using Designs on Cloud 9 svg files. They have a terrific range of files - some complete files, some singular, and of course, a weekly FREE file. I am honored to be part of their Design Team. I love the inspiration I get from all of the different styles.

My project for this week is the beginning of a gift for a very good friend. Whenever I want to try out some new ideas, I have a habit of making things for her. She always thinks everything is wonderful (at least that is what she tells me, lol). I decided I wanted to make a calendar for her desk. I have never made anything that was a 6 x 6 size, but it looks really interesting, and different. On each of the months, I have month stamped using The Stamps of Life. Then, I include a photo and die cuts that go with the holidays of the month. Here is my January calendar page. I used the Designs on Cloud 9, Black Tie New Year file.
