I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Thanks Embossing Folder

Today is the day! Another great challenge at DoubleClick Skittles. The inspiration for this week is Thank You. With Thanksgiving around the corner so many of us are making cards that express thankfulness. Come join us in our challenge.

For my project, I thought about how my Thanksgiving (thankful) cards have been using all traditional colors and themes. I wanted to do something totally different. I happened to see a challenge where the theme was to focus on text, and I instantly knew what I wanted to do. I embossed the white layer with a thank you embossing folder. Then, I took a Spellbinders die cut, added a circle, and cut the "thanks" image from the Cricut cartridge Don Juan. I really wanted to keep this CAS. The red Skittles give the card balance and shine.

Challenges Entered
