I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Twinkle TAWS

For my card today, I was inspired by The Alley Way Stamps Challenge blog: BE Inspired. The challenge this time is a a collection of photos. I found my inspiration from the photo of the turkey, and the photo of the all the colors. The turkey made me think of the bird stamps on the All Wrapped Up set. I decided to create a winter or Christmas card using the bird in the sweater because I could use several colors. The bird is stamped on two tags cut from Cricut's Birthday Bash cartridge. I added twine and gems to add texture to this card.

    A really effective Christmas card Faith. The image really stands out against the backing paper by being double mounted in contrasting colours.
