I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Giving Thanks
It's time for another card challenge with Cardz TV. The theme for this challenge is to use the phrase Giving Thanks as your inspiration.
Do you ever find that you have paper you just hate. Well, this card started with the inspiration to use paper I really have never liked for a Thanksgiving/Giving Thanks Challenge. The Thanksgiving paper here always gave me trouble, I felt like the colors were too bland, but I wanted the sentiments of the paper to be clearly visible. I created the card using files from SVGcuts.com. I cut the base, flaps, and layers in shades of light and dark brown and orange. Now, the palette would compliment the colors in the pattern.
The flap opens vertically, and inside I have stamped my sentiment using the Cardz TV Many Thanks set. I also added a few orange Skittles from DoubleClick Skittles.
The funny part now is that I LOVE the paper, and want to use the rest of it on another card.
