I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Oh so scary...

Well, it is October 18th, and all the costumes have been made for my niece and nephews Halloween adventure. Halloween was my favorite holiday growing up, but now I live vicariously through the trick-or-treating costumed children in my neighborhood. When I thought about a cute Halloween card, I thought of using a black cat. Black cats, can be scary though, so I wanted a more cutesy cut for my nephews. And I found just that at 
Designs on Cloud 9. 

The first thing I did was cut out the cat. She is beautiful! Next, I wanted to go for a background paper with all Halloween sayings on it, but I did not have anything like that in my stash, so I used my new Cricut Explore to print this Halloween word collage and then cut it as BG paper. The spider web die cut was sitting in my little stash box, so I grabbed that for the corner. 


 The last few steps were just layering colors, and popping up the cat for dimension. Super easy. Definitely check out all of the Halloween cut files at Designs on Cloud 9 .
