I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Birthday Punnies

Do you ever get stuck in the rut of using only the same products? I do. So, this month is all about trying new products (and styles). The is my very first "new supply" It is a stamp set by Stampin' Up called Giggle Greetings.

I chose this particular set because I have tons of birthdays coming up this month. This particular card is for my very good friend, Alecia.

All of the patterned paper is from The Birthday Wishes Stack by SCWV.
I stamped the image and used a Spellbinders die cut to help the image to stand out.
I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers: LY1, 2, 3; IB1, 2; BP1, and 2.
I used glitter on the light of the candle.
Embellishments: watermelon Skittles from DoubleClick Skittles and the yellow bow.

Challenges Entered
