I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Peace and Hope

Finally!

I'm finished with all of my cards for the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah. This holiday is the Jewish new year. It is a festive holiday where we look forward to the next chapter in our book of life. I had this great sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up, "May you find peace and hope in the rich traditions of the season," that inspired this project.

Once I stamped that sentiment on this scrap of blue polka dot paper, I decided to create a scene on the card. The grass is cut from the Cricut cartridge, Straight from the Nest. The jewels and cloud were from my stash. The plan was to make the card for a girl since I already made cards for my nephews. This one is for my niece.

Challenges Entered
Alphabet Challenge: P is for Pretty Petals.
Crafty Little Fairies: Sparkle and Bling
Addicted to Stamps: Holiday
