I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Welcome to First Grade.

Today is the day! It's time for Challenge #2 at DoubleClick Skittles, and the challenge theme is back to school. This is the perfect theme for me because on of my four nephews is going into first grade. He just loves school, and I hope that never changes.

This is the perfect theme for me because on of my four nephews is going into first grade. He just loves school, and I hope that never changes.

I have been just waiting to be able to use my notepaper embossing folder, and it was perfect here. Since I was using bright, primary colors, I added the three Skittles to pick up more color. I used watermelon, denim, and frog legs. You simply MUST try DoubleClick Skittles as embellishments on your own paper projects. The title is from PPPR cutting SVG file.

Challenges Entered on Behalf of  DoubleClick Skittles

  4. Hey Faith!! I love your back to school card!! Like you I love theme because I love new paper, pencils and pens. If only kids thought that school rules, they wouldn't want to rush it. Your notepaper embossing is awesome. I've never seen that before. I might have to look for that. Your skittles look great, nice added touch!
