I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Pretty in Pink

It's time for another challenge this week at Through the Purple Haze. The challenge this week is to use buttons! You don't want to miss out on our sponsors:

AND

For my project this week, I had the please of using Lacy Sunshine's Rockabilly. Doesn't she just look like she is ready to go to a party and dance the night away.

To color her face, I used Spectrum Noir's FS1, FS2, TN1, and PP3. For the hair, I used Spectrum Noir's EB1, TN3, TN2, TN1 (layered twice). All of the pink was experimental.

I cut her and her border using my Sizzix frame kit. I felt that bits of black were needed to break up the pink. The background DP is from DCWV, The Blossom Song Stack.

Finally, I added a set of buttons, flowers and hearts in the corners. These were part of my stash.

Challenges Entered:
A Creative Romance: Girly.
Craftitude: Die Cuts
Left of Center: Girly.
