I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Challenge #22: Focus on Sentiment

Our new challenge at ScrapbookerPhD is to focus on a sentiment. This is going to be a fun challenge because we all have favorite sentiment stamps or just favorite quotes to print.

For my project, I started with this wonderful sentiment from the Kid Quotes set from Inkadinkado. I knew that I had the paint splat punch, and I wanted to use that, but I also wanted to add lots of color. Imagine my surprise when I found this patterned paper from Artist Paper Pix stack from The Paper House. It was meant to be!

I gave this card to my mother. March was a hard month for her. My father died many years ago on March 19th at young age, and his birthday was March 23rd. I'm so proud of her, and I love her so much. I hope this put a smile on her face. After all, she is my biggest fan.
