I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Hey Foxy!

It's time for another inspiration using Designs on Cloud 9 svg files. They have a terrific range of files - some complete files, some singular, and of course, a weekly FREE file. I am honored to be part of their Design Team. I love the inspiration I get from all of the different styles.

My project for this week is a non-traditional Valentine's Day card for my husband. I found this great fox cut in the Foxy Fall die cut file on Designs on Cloud 9. After assembling him, I added some white paint dots to bring him to life. I cut this shaped card from the Creative Everyday Cards cartridge by Cricut. I wanted my fox to look woodsy, so I cut this textured paper background and embossed it with a bark folder. I thought the leaf would tie-in with the tree bark background. The cute sentiment is from the CardzTV, More Critter Captions stamp set. A few liquid pearls on the background, and my Valentine's Day card is complete.
