I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. Joy

Are you using SVG files with your die cutting machines, well, don't miss out on Designs on Cloud 9. They have a terrific range of files - some complete sets, some singular, and of course, a weekly FREE file. I am honored to be part of their Design Team.

For my project this week, I decided it is time to make Christmas cards. I have made one or two so far, but that isn't nearly enough, November is about half way over. With that inspiration in mind, I used two files from Designs on Cloud 9. First, the Joy Card and then the Poinsettia file. I wanted to use traditional colors and even added some bling in gold. The yellow in Joy - although you can't tell in the photo - has a golden shine to it. Designs on Cloud 9 files are so easy to mix and match. Check them out when you need Christmas inspiration.
