I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Halloween POP Up Card

Well friends, I have to tell you... if you own a Cricut, you simply must purchase the new CTMH Artfully Sent cartridge. It is phenomenal for card making with so many interesting elements to choose from. Cards include envelopes and liners.

You can purchase this cartridge HERE

Today, I'm showing you how I created the Halloween Pop up Card, thanks to Mary from Cardz TV who posted her own card.

Since the pop up is on the inside of the card, I actually started with the outside of the card. I wanted to use all of my favorite Halloween colors, and include a ghost (there are ghosts in the pop up design). This particular ghost is from Miss Kate's Cuttables. Remember that she has a daily freebie file! I used two different stamps here, the cat and moon stamp is from an old Inkadinkado set called Trick or Treat, and the Happy Halloween stamp is from Cardz TV the Going in Circles set.

Here is the inside. The cartridge cuts the layer with a square pop up that fits just behind the haunted house. The ghost and moon are also cut out of this layer. I backed this on white so that the ghosts were white, and then put a small piece of orange behind the moon. You cut the house and tree separately.

To keep with the theme of ghosts, I decided to cut another ghost to place on the inside.

The ghosts and goblins sentiments is from Cardz TV new set Frankly Frightful.
I smeared back ink around the edges of most elements here so that nothing would look too shiny and instead keep with a spooky design.

The Artfully Sent cartridge is full of these fun cards. Put it on your wish list!
