I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Let's Chill
Are you using SVG files with your die cutting machines, well, don't miss out on Designs on Cloud 9. They have a terrific range of files - some complete files, some singular, and of course, a weekly FREE file. I am honored to be part of their Design Team.
For my project this time, I thought about how wonderful my summer has been, and with the rest of August to enjoy, I'm dreaming of relaxing out in the summer sun, swimming, and reading. Like my card says, Let's Chill. I plan to put this card in my husband's suitcase when we go on vacation next week.
The svg cut file that I used for this is called, Hello Summer, and you can purchase it RIGHT HERE.
Aren't these sunglass just adorable. They needed to be the focal point of the card, so I added glitter to the sand and water just to give the sunglasses a little more detail. I found this cute splash zone ribbon and used it to divide the glasses and the sentiments. Of course, I had to put "Relax" on the card, and then in a small stamped sentiment, "Let's Chill". The stamp is from Docerela's stamp set: Summertime.
