I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. But here, at The Crafting Professor, I'm just sharing my work with like-minded crafters from all over the world.

Wedding Display
It's time for another 3D project challenge with Cardz TV. The theme for this challenge is Wedding or Bridal Shower.
For my project, I decided to do one more box card. I recently made a box card for a friend celebrating a huge accomplishment, and she used it as a display at her party. She loved it so much, I decided to do one more specifically for this challenge.
Of course I had quite a bit of help. This started as a celebration SVG box card from SVGcuts.com. It was a beautiful box card, but did not have a wedding feeling. I wanted to turn it into an elegant wedding tablescape. The bulk of the card is layers of white designer paper with white and silver designs from The Paper Studio's Blanc Boutique stack and DCWV's The Formal Affair stack. To add a little color, I used shades of purple.
Then, I added a few extra touches like the ribbon, the dove brad, the skittles (bonus color), and the Cardz TV stamp from the Birds & Bees set.
Challenges:
613 Avenue Create: Anything Goes + Party
Cutie Pie: Love and Marriage
House of Cards: Add a Bow
Deep Ocean Challenge: Lots of Layers
