I named myself The Crafting Professor, since I'm a crafter, and I'm a college professor. I went through many, many years of graduate school, and the best source of relaxation and stress relief was being in my craft room or going to a local crop. Back then, I never told anyone that I was a full-time graduate student. I was waiting for the day I would scrapbook my graduation page. Now, I run the ScrapbookerPhD challenge blog (http://scrapbookerphd.blogspot.com), and am bringing my passion for crafting and teaching together. Lotus Geisha

Project 22 of my Simply Betty Stamps Challenge: Color every image in the Simply Betty Collection. That's over 500 images not including the new releases this year. I'm doing the happy dance because I am past 20 images. I'm still very motivated, but I have a long way to go, especially with a brand new line of images and some re-releasing of retired images. I have been looking forward to coloring the new geishas, especially this exclusive Lotus Geisha for the Simply Betty Stamp challenge. I really wanted to use more of a coral color for the hair, but I didn't have the right color combinations, so I went with a brighter orange, which I think looks fantastic with the purple. (I was heavy handed with the pens on the hair - something I have to work on). I used a variation of orange and purple throughout the coloring: YR09, YR07,YR04,YR01, YR00 and V09, V06, V04, V01, V000. For her skin, I wanted a very light tone, and used E000, E00, E01. 

 The frame and butterflies are cut from Spellbinders die cuts. The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers, the Be Virtuous set.
